U.S: Here’s The NPD Sales Results For September 2017

There was a delay in its release, but we can finally inform you of NPD‘s top 20 best-selling games in the United States for September 2017. Nintendo had many games show up on the chart, with Zelda: Breath Of The Wild still in the top 10 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe close behind. However, with Super Mario Odyssey coming out later this week, it’s very likely that a Top 5 appearance from Nintendo is coming soon. This time, the data was revealed in a video. We’ve included that and the chart itself down below.

1. Destiny 2 – Activision Blizzard
2. NBA 2K18 – Take-Two Interactive
3. Madden NFL 18 – EA
4. FIFA 18 – EA
5. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle – Ubisoft
6. Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite – Capcom
7. Grand Theft Auto V – Take-Two Interactive
8. NHL 18 – EA
9. Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo
10. Rainbow Six: Siege – Ubisoft
11. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Nintendo
12. Metroid: Samus Returns – Nintendo
13. Pokken Tournament DX – Nintendo
14. Overwatch – Activision Blizzard
15. Ark: Survival Evolved – Studio Wildcard
16. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy – Sony
17. NBA Live 18 – EA
18. Splatoon 2 – Nintendo
19. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy – Activision Blizzard
20. Minecraft – Microsoft

  1. How many platforms was MvC: Infinite out on? 3? With THAT much brand power behind it, only to be beaten by rabbids? I think I speak for all the Nintendo fans here when I say…

  2. Grand Theft Auto V is a freaking juggernaut. It refuses to leave any of these sales charts.

    1. Shows how much a Switch port would make sense. Include local co-op with multiples Switches as an exclusive feature and watch the money roll in Take-Two.

  3. “12. Metroid: Samus Returns – Nintendo”

Remember how we were all hoping the US would save this game sales wise? It’s a shame because samus returns is a fantastic game and it got a lot of coverage from nintendo leading up to it. The fact that it STILL fails to really sell well and the metroid curse continues…well, it’s extremely depressing tbh.

My only hope is that my game that I’m making can satisfy me in the future because if prime 4 does this poorly relatively speaking of course, then we’ll just have to take another metroid drought won’t we?
