Europe: Here’s A Look At The Bayonetta Special Edition

We found out during last night’s exciting Game Awards 2017 that the critically acclaimed Bayonetta 1 & 2 are destined for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Europe has now revealed that there will be a special edition of the game available for purchase and here’s the details:

“In addition, the critically acclaimed Bayonetta 2, originally a Wii U exclusive, and the original Bayonetta – both also developed by PlatinumGames – will be launching for Nintendo Switch on 16th February. Two retail versions of the game will be available at launch: the regular edition includes the Bayonetta 2 game card and a download code for the original Bayonetta game, while the Special Edition in Europe will include the Bayonetta 2 game card, a download code for the original Bayonetta game, a SteelBook®, 22 Verse Cards and 3 Sticker Sheets.”

    1. I have no idea
      Especially in this case…
      2 games,
      2 cases,
      1 cart.

Beyond stupid and cheap. They teased Bayonetta with that dual mirrored red/blue image, they could have done a steelbook, or case with 2 carts the same way, 2 covers, front red, back blue…I don’t know. It even mirrors Switch’s logo…
      What a shame..

  1. Disappointing about the download code for Bayonetta 1. Will probably skip this as I do have both games on disc for Wii u but would’ve liked them on cart for switch

  2. So Bayo2 is physical but Bayo1 is download only? Hm. I wonder how many will give PlatinumGames a pass while still shitting on Capcom for doing the same thing with Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2.
