There’s no doubting that Rocket League has been a huge success for developer Psyonix. They have announced today that the addictive sports title has reached an impressive 40 million players worldwide. That’s quite some achievement.

Why get a physical version when the game would be practically useless without an internet connection and servers anyway?

This is really great news! I’m happy Rocket League is so popular and still growing. I’d be interested to see how many copies were sold digitally on the Nintendo Eshop because I have a feeling the Switch consumer base may have had a significant impact on the sales figures.
