Koei Tecmo has confirmed today that the western version of Atelier Lydie & Suelle won’t include English voice-overs. Instead the game will feature the original Japanese voice actors and will have English subtitles. This is a slight change from previous Atelier games that were dubbed in English. Atelier Lydie & Suelle: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting will be released on March 30th in Europe and March 27th in North America.
Cheap and lazy. The team that makes these games are no stranger to that.
OR a real treat for those who prefer the original Japanese voice acting!
I don’t see how it’s a treat to not have the option to choose English. It’s just sad for those who want it, and now can’t
This would excite me if I was a weeb.
Unfortunately I’m not. I’ll have to pass on this one.
Lol you ass.
I was initially disappointed when Tokyo Mirage Sessions did this but when I was actually playing the game it didn’t make much difference so it’s probably not a big deal.
This is not unusual. Unless it’s Dead or Alive or the Ninja Gaiden games, most games published by Koei Tecmo rarely have English subtitles.
