A rumour swirled around the internet last week that Bandai Namco is working on Metroid Prime 4 and now Eurogamer has confirmed this. The game is specifically being made by Bandai Namco Studios Singapore which Eurogamer says is the lead studio on the game in collaboration with Nintendo. The publication has heard from multiple sources that this is indeed correct, now all we have to wait for is Nintendo to reveal it.

Welcome back your lordship…
What have you learned from your pilgrimage to the sentient realms?
Bestow this knowledge on us that we may advance further against the Xbots.
You must get SO laid
||Unite and terminate them by any means necessary…||
Like a boss, Commander!
The encounter of Samus with Sylux is a prophecy of the chozo.

Hope they don’t go all Halo on this game… Hope it remains as classic as the first Prime game.. Hope it doesn’t have Metroid Other M melodrama… Hope it has some Dark Souls style isolation…
I hope for many things but reality and hope are two separate parallels… Hopefully, at some point, my hope can find its way to reality…
I hope Metroid Prime 4 would be that point of union… Hope again?
I hope it has some Metroid style isolation.
Did you know that the employees at Bandai Namco Singapore used to work for LucasArts in developing the now-cancelled Star Wars 1313? Please take a look and observe…
Which means it will be a good game

I’m not too bothered who’s developing this game so long as they don’t screw it up.
Let’s all hope they learned much from Retro and make us proud. Also, I hope for a Metroid Prime Anthology remaster on Switch with all 3 games plus Hunters completely rebuild from the ground up with better single player and online multiplayer in one package before Prime 4.
I have high hopes for the multiplayer. Brings me back to the old DS days playing Hunters online.
Hunters with 12 players, voice chat, play as Dark Samus/Rundas/Pirates/GF-Troopers featuring dozens of maps and modes from Hunters and Prime 2 combined with some new ones.
I like the way you use your thinking noodle :)
You don’t want much then 🙄
WTF you talking about? I want Prime 4 to be as great as the original 3. But who’s to say that remastering Metroid Prime Trilogy + Hunters shouldn’t be in the cards? It’ll help the hype of Prime 4 even more if true and comes before hand.
Tre was right…SMH

what engine do they use?
For MP4 I suggest UE4
A lot of the people who worked on the cancelled star wars 1313 game are working on this so I’m extremely interested
The other interesting part of this rumor is that Eurogamer also says that there could be a remaster of the Metroid Prime trilogy coming to the Switch this year because MP4 is still in early development………that would be so awesome please let it be true

i heard they are forcing motion control on us like Star Fox Zero
Motion controls are the superior way to play a shooter on home console. The Prime trilogy on the Wii was several times more convenient, and everyone praised the Wii version of Resident Evil 4. Even if they also implement them similarly to Prime 3, I wouldn’t mind one bit.
You heard wrong. They don’t have the confirmed data on the gameplay mechanics in that game. Wait until we get an official confirmation from Nintendo and/or Bandai Namco Singapore.
From where exactly?
aiming with a gyro mouse isnt FORCING ANYTHING now go back to the dog turd you crawledout from IDIOT
In the case of shooters, I don’t mind motion controls as it’s easier to aim at stuff if you fix up the speed at which the cursor moves. Which would be the total opposite of Star Fox Zero where you controlled the ship itself using the motion controls, not the actual shooting.
I just hope this gonna be a good game please Bandai Namco don’t fuck this up
Worry not. The BNS team used to work for LucasArts in developing Star Wars 1313. Look at the clip above.
Cant wait to light my bonfires after slaying ridley with a plunging attack

Looks like they have no portfolio to show, and this isn’t something to cheer. Obviously I hope it will be ‘that’ good.
Must be painful to be so pessimistic 😥
He just said that showing something is better than thousand of words
Nah, it’s not just pessimism, I’m just speculating on the subject. I actually wish that the supposed lack of experience will not show up on the game. Actually Mario + Rabbids was worth the hope. It’s just not so frequent to have quality out of studios that lacks big hits (if we avoid Just Dance that’s a simplistic game, I’m talking of the new rising star Ubisoft Milan).
As a more general note pessimism is ‘painful’ (hurting) generally, yes.
I mean Nintendo did confirm that it’s being made by a new team of developers, if i’m no mistaken.
Let’s hope they will win this bet. Metroid Prime was actually the first game of Retro back then.
SOMEONE BUYS A SWITCH THEN COMPLAINS ABOUT CUTTIG EDGE SUPERIOR CONTROLS MANY GENS AHEA OF THE COMPETITION
so why did you buy a switch then !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! aiming with a gyro mouse is CORRECT GAMING HW ANYONES BRAIN URNS THAT INTO SOMETHING IL NEVER KNOW
ITS LIKE SOMEONE SAYNG WINDOWS FORCES ME TO USE A MOUSE >>>>>>>>>>>>retarded<<<<
Oh, right. Totally forgot this was Bowler. Still off your meds, I see.
That leak list just keeps getting more and more true. And let me say this; if it keeps that up, we’re in for some fantastic stuff.
Well it’s not truly confirmed if Nintendo’s higher ups didn’t tell them this was true. So… *back to waiting on Nintendo again*
I hope we can can see the chozo in Prime 4 and that Samus interacts with them just like when Samus interacted with the luminoth U-mos.
Oh yes, a company who can’t make anything good that isn’t a fighter or an RPG, let’s get them to develop our first person shooter action exploration game.
