Japan: Here’s This Week’s Most Wanted Nintendo Games

Each week Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu polls its readers to find out what their most wanted video games are. This week’s results are in for Nintendo platforms and it is Persona Q2 on the Nintendo 3DS battling it out with Shin Megami Tensei V for the Nintendo Switch.

  1. Persona Q2 (3DS) – 253
  2. Shin Megami Tensei V (Switch) – 246
  3. Project OCTOPATH TRAVELER (Switch) – 197
  4. Hoshi no Kirby: Star Allies (Switch) – 162
  5. Bayonetta 3 (Switch) – 154
  6. Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete (Switch) – 152
  7. Zelda Musou Hyrule Allstars DX (Switch) – 127
  8. Fire Emblem (Switch) – 119
  9. Dragon Quest Builders 2 (Switch) – below 96
  10. Dragon Quest Builders: Alefgard o Fukkatsu Seyo (Switch) – below 96
  11. Meitantei Pikachu: Shin Combi Tanjou (3DS) – below 96

  1. Goes to show Persona’s popularity when it needs nothing more than a name for people to get excited. Seriously, the game doesn’t even have any revealed footage, a release date, or even what idea what the plot’ll be.

Good to see Kirby up there. With so many franchises having great success on Switch so far, I’m hoping Kirby can reach new heights with Star Allies.

    1. Also nice the know the fans haven’t forgotten about Fire Emblem Switch, despite Intelligent Systems not saying a word about it for over a year.
