GameSpot Says Dark Souls Remastered Is Being Developed Internally

You may have read that the Nintendo Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered for the Nintendo Switch is being developed by a Chinese company titled Virtuous who were the team behind the L.A Noire remaster. Now GameSpot is reporting that Dark Souls Remastered is being developed internally at From Software and isn’t being outsourced to an external studio. It’s all rather confusing, so hopefully Bandai Namco reveals all.

  1. I like to point out this is incorrect, QTOC is the team working on large portions of Dark Souls Remastered on PS4 Xbox One and PC. The Switch Version is likely being handled internally as this article suggests.

  2. “Dark Souls Remastered is being developed internally at From Software” according to Gamespot? Interesting. Until we get an official announcement from Bandai Namco, I’ll just wait. However, Dark Souls Remastered is on my Switch Wish List.

  3. I’m not so sure about this resource. It seems to be pointing fingers in multiple directions to cause confusion. But that doesn’t matter. What matters is that I hope Switch’s port gets enough performance justice to prove that it’ll match the others and then some to be completely welcomed as a big change for Nintendo’s third party maturity outlook.
