Japan’s Nintendo Direct had an extra treat in store for its audience. Nintendo and SEGA confirmed that Phantasy Star Online 2 would be coming to the Switch in Japan. There was no word about a western release, but it’s yet another big release for the console. Here’s the official trailer:

This is not necessarily “PSO2 is coming to the Switch”. It’s “PSO2 Cloud, a streaming app to use to play PSO2 on any device, is coming to the Switch”. It would likely be pretty much unusable for anyone outside of Japan since Sega’s servers for streaming the game would presumably be in Japan.
