They have the credentials to help us launch a faithful adaptation of Street Fighter as a major TV series,” The TV series will be created by the team behind the live-action web series Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist. Joey Ansah, Jacqueline Quella and Mark Wooding will be executive producers. Here’s what it’s set to be about:

“Street Fighter the series will draw on the game’s World Warrior story-arc — introduced in the 1991 Street Fighter II: The World Warrior sequel to the original game — as the jumping off point, centering on four protagonists: Ryu, Ken, Guile and Chun-Li. Together, they fight to take down M. Bison, the evil mastermind who runs Shadaloo, a global criminal organization. Though on different journeys, our heroes’ paths will cross as they are drawn into the World Warrior Tournament, a competition devised by M. Bison to find the most powerful and capable fighter in the world. On the journey they come to share, they must draw on their strength, skills, intelligence and loyalty in a battle to survive and emerge as the World Warrior.”

    1. I think they are still getting everything together all they have is storyboard the people who will probably do the story writing and the studio backing the tv launch still need actors the sets all that other stuff

  1. When Liu Kang is made to pronounce Ryu (Rii-you) as Rwhy-you, I don’t have hope in this if it’s being made by someone in the US. Then again, the Street Fighter movie from the early 90s with Raul Julia & JCVD did pronounce Ryu right at least. Yeah. I’m 50/50 on this.

  2. Because Capcom and Yoshinori Ono loves Street Fighter so much that they want to keep milking this dead series. It time that Street Fighter needs to die Mega Man 11 is on the way and We might get Mega Man X 9 somewhere down the road now Street Fighter is life support after Street Fighter 4. This series was crap to begin with (Street Fighter 2 was the only good game in the series)
