Japan: Nintendo Switch Sells 44K And Nintendo 3DS Sells 10K

It’s Wednesday which means it is time to look at how the various software releases and hardware is performing in Japan, thanks to the team over at Media Create. There have been a few new releases this week which have performed well and they are on the PlayStation 4, but despite this it is the Nintendo Switch which continues its run as the best-selling console. Here’s the best-sellers in Japan:

  1. Worldwide the model that’ll last the longest is the 2DS XL imo. The standard 2DS flounders in Japan and in my experience it doesn’t exactly fly off shelves either. I’ve also seen the New 3DS XL sell even worse as we always have a very small amount in stock (like 2 or 3) and it takes FOREVER just to sell one of them.

  2. They said Switch games sold well, but they don’t port even simple games like Super Robot Taisen for it. Uhm.
    I think people would like simultaneous release on all platforms.
    PlayStation 4 still looks like the standard de facto.
