Fight as both German and British pilots during WW1’s battle for the skies! Seed Interactive and Illumination Games are excited to announce that Skies of Fury DX will be launching on the Nintendo Switch system on April 12, 2018. Skies of Fury DX is an action-packed flying game that allows players to experience historical Bloody April, 1917, as both British and German pilots.

Skies of Fury DX is the first air combat game released on Nintendo Switch. Dogfight through the single-player campaign or challenge your friends to an epic multiplayer, split-screen battle. The game features ten unique WW1 planes based on British and German designs and six stunning hand-painted environments. Discover features like formation flying with your wingmen, daring aerial maneuvers, and devastating power-ups to unleash fury on your enemies.

“Skies of Fury DX is the culmination of three years of work on aviation air combat games,” said Dan Stopnicki, CTO and co-founder of Illumination Games. “We’ve explored what it takes to make the complex space of aerial combat a fun and engaging experience. We’ve used three key design elements to create the dynamic combat space of Skies of Fury DX.”

“Firstly, are the use of clouds as gameplay elements which have allowed us to level design within a 3D, aerial environment, blending a stealth and cover mechanic into a flight game. Secondly, we’ve integrated dynamic targeting cameras which are designed to give users instant access to situation awareness without the need for clumsy radars and HUDs. And finally, the use of formation flight and wingmen to amplify the game’s intensity and use of friendly AI.”

With 100 campaign missions, unlockable comics based on the real history of Bloody April, and hundreds of options to customize your planes, Skies of Fury DXis a refreshing addition to any aviation buff’s collection.

Skies of Fury DX will be launching in North America and Europe on the Nintendo E-Shop on April 12, 2018.
