Taiko Drum Master: Nintendo Switch Version! Coming To Asia In English On 9th August

The team over at Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia has revealed today that Taiko Drum Master: Nintendo Switch Version! will have a dedicated English interface across Southeast Asia. The game will be arriving in Asia on the 9th of August. Gematsu reports that the game will ship with Japanese voice-overs and Japanese, Chinese, and Korean text. Those wanting to play with English text should be aware it will come with a free patch at launch on the 9th of August 2018. Here’s the features the game will contain:

New Game Feature: “Shake and Play” Function

A new highlight in the upcoming game is the “Shake and Play” function with Joy-Con. The function is compatible with the TV mode and table mode! Taiko no Tatsujin can be also enjoyed by Nintendo Switch players on the go. The game can be played in handheld mode, so you can enjoy the game where ever you are. *Note: Joy-Con™ feature will not be available on handheld mode

Brand New Game Music!

Taiko no Tatsujin: Nintendo Switch Version! will include brand new game music such as “Jump Up, Super Star! Short Version” from Super Mario Odyssey and “Kirby Medley” from Kirby’s Return to Dream Land. It will also include popular anime songs such as “Yo-kai Exercise No. 1” from Yo-Kai Watch and “We Are!” from One Piece. Over 70 famous tracks will be playable in this game.

Your Performance Character

A new element to Taiko no Tatsujin: Nintendo Switch Version! is the appearance of performance character. Before each performance starts, player can choose a performance character to play with in the game. Each performance guest has a performance skill that will enable player to receive a higher score. Players can choose Squid from Splatoon 2 in which the character will support you in-game or Kirby from Kirby ‘s Return to Dream Land to assist in getting a better timing when playing or hitting Balloon Notes.

More Fun with Friends!

With Taiko no Tatsujin: Nintendo Switch Version! expect more fun with friends with offline local play for up to 4-players*. There are many party games included in the party mode, players can work together to get high score or play against each other. *Each connected player will need to have own Taiko no Tatsujin: Nintendo Switch Version! game software in their machine.

  1. Ohhhh ya.. That mean I can some how switch region shops and do it here from US? I love the psp game of Taiko I have. Its be great to get this one too.

  2. Hmm, was going to get the Japanese version, but I guess I’ll be importing the SE Asia version instead.
