Suda51 Really Wants To Make No More Heroes 3 But Wanted To Do Smaller Title First

GameInformer recently managed to secure an interview with the one and only Suda51 at this year’s PAX West 2018 event. He revealed to the site that he would love to make No More Heroes 3, but he wanted to work on a small niche title first and I suspect he then wanted to see how it was perceived before he starts work on an ambitious new project.

The question thus has to be asked then is if No More Heroes 3, a game more like the previous two No More Heroes titles, is in Suda’s future.

“Yeah, I’d really want to,” he started. “Those kinds of projects are hard to think about when you’re deep into another game. But Travis Strikes Again is one part of the No More Heroes story, it’s not the end of it.”

Thanks to Nintendo First Order Reaver for the news tip!

  1. I think this game is just Suda having fun while him and the team think of ideas for NMH 3.

I can’t say I’m really too into the indie mini-games, but it looks alright and hopefully it sells alright too.

    1. And it could be practice to get back into the mindset of the characters he created for the first two games. It has been awhile since he last worked on Travis and company so maybe he’s wanting to get some of the rust out of the way by way of a side game before he goes onto a major entry. If Travis is slightly different from the previous entries and it’s bad enough to make people hate the game, they can write this game off as an alternate universe that never happened in the mainline games. (Something Nintendo should do with that filthy Federation Force abomination that thinks it’s a Metroid game.)
