Luigi and doppelgänger Gooigi have some fantastic new moves in Luigi’s Mansion 3 – as shown during the Nintendo Treehouse stream following the E3 Direct. In fact, when playing through the spooky title, fans will need to keep their wits about them as they slam, suck up, burst and roll to defeat the roaming, wayward ghosts. According to Mr Tanabe and Mr Ikebata, there are parts of the game where you’ll have to use both Luigi and Gooigi to solve puzzles – a neat twist on the action adventure game.
During the stream, players were also introduced to Morty the Ghost, a film aficionado who just wants to make a good movie. Interestingly, he’ll reward you with an elevator part if you make a cool action film with him. It’s in these moments with the ghosts that add to the flavour of their personalities. As an added extra, the short film you make with Morty can also be watched afterwards by the player too.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 will be released sometime in 2019 for the Nintendo Switch.
