The Nintendo Direct at E3 2019 ended with a bang — the announcement of the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. While we still don’t know who’s going to be the star of the show, Nintendo producer Eiji Aonuma has revealed that the upcoming game draws inspiration from Red Dead Redemption 2.
When asked what games the younger staff on the Zelda team were playing, specifically what inspired them, Aonuma replied “[Something] I did hear that a lot of people were playing was Red Dead Redemption 2.” When asked what open worlds inspired the Zelda team as a whole, he said “When I was working on Breath of the Wild, the director [Hidemaro Fujibayashi] was playing Skyrim.”
none of that quote says Red Dead inspired Breath of the Wild, you utter morons.
Read it again. It literally says “specifically what inspired them” …..thats literally the question he was asked
Oh look another moron! This title is clickbait. Nowhere did it say that the sequal was inspired by RDR2, but only that stuff members were inspired by that game, which is something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!
Damn, take a chill pill dude. It literally says it in the quote as well. Now you’re the one that looks like a moron.
I kinda agree. The headline is a bit misleading (but no reason to call anyone a moron :/ )
Why do you have to immediately jump to the angry insults? Have you considered replying coherently and, maybe even, eloquently? Put a little effort it, friend.
Thanks to everyone who attacked Fried.
Can we throw Zelda into a pond of alligators?
Why would you want to do that? This might be her very first outing on a stage like this and you want to feed her to the Gators?
It’s a thing you can do in RDR2.
I just finished the story for the first time in Red Dead Redemption 2 tonight, so this post was pretty sweet to me. As much as I love the cell shaded look of Breath Of The Wild, I’d love to see the world in a more realistic Red Dead Redemption 2 sort of way. A realistic look would make some enemies look a lot more scary, dark and menacing. Not to mention, certain areas would look more spooky as well.
We haven’t seen a Pseudo-realistic Zelda game since Twilight Princess. I think Zelda games are all going going to be cell shaded from now on…
Too bad. I had solid hopes after seeing the Twilight Princess WiiU Tech Demo.

Next Up – Grand Theft Auto V inspires Tingle 3: Electric Boogalee.
I really hope Nintendo release good genuine zelda again… This open world nonsens with bad controls… Lots of surface to run but without any meaning or content… Or any leads where to go and what to do. Hated breath of The wild.
If Nintendo keep it like this than atleast for me zelda is a dead series.
