Japan: Astral Chain enters at No.2, Nintendo Switch sells 90K

The latest charts from Japan are now in courtesy of the team at Famitsu. This week saw the release of Astral Chain which is Platinum Games latest masterpiece and it has entered the Japanese software charts at No.2, selling a reasonable 32K units. The Nintendo Switch saw a big sales bump this week too selling an impressive 90,553 units placing it far ahead off the competition in the hardware charts. Here’s the best sellers for 26th August – 1st September:

  1. I’m guessing a lot of Japanese Switch owners are going all digital and that’s the reason the sales have been unexpectedly low on these charts for a lot of big releases this year. 90k is the highest for the console in a while so that’s good.
