U.S: Here’s the NPD sales results for August 2019

It is that time of the month when The NPD Group releases their monthly sales report on the video game industry. This month’s report reveals how video game hardware and software did during the month of August 2019. Once again, Nintendo had a successful month. Fire Emblem: Three Houses was the highest Nintendo-exclusive title to chart for this month, but it is not the only game to chart so well. According to NPD analyst Mat Piscatella, “five of the top 10 best-selling video games of August 2019 are Nintendo platform exclusives. Astral Chain launched as the 10th best-selling game of August, the only new release to place amongst the top 10 sellers of the month”. Here’s the chart data:
