An image has been circulating the internet this afternoon and its a poster for the upcoming new series of the long-running Pokemon animated TV series. The general consensus on the poster seems to be that the designs are looking good. The poster has not been officially confirmed by The Pokemon Company, but as Joe from Serebii pointed out on Reset Era if it is a fake it’s one of the more elaborate ones he has seen.

This is confusing to me. I thought we’d be seeing a brand new Pokémon anime, and assumed it would exist in parrallel with the traditional one. But it’s just a slightly newish take on it,then? Still featuring the same Ash and Pikachu. Not sure why it’s been treated as a new “series” (American kind, not British).
Honestly, I doubt it. I think this might be from another dimension I believe.

And why would I want to? I always prefered Ash over… that OTHER Pokemon Trainer, and since Ash won a Pokemon league, the haters have one less bad thing to say about him.

I really don’t understand why we can’t get rid of Ash. His character doesn’t really make sense because he ends up becoming very competent at the end of an arc, only to act more like a rookie by the start of the next season. A new MC would be refreshing.
Didn’t he win the Pokemon league, I thought it was over lol is he gna go on a winning streak now and win all of them. Does he have new goals now ?

I’m assuming that this new series will be completing different from other Anime series witch I’m ok with this and Ash.

A refreshing change of pace. I grew up with him – hate to show my age here – and after hearing about his win, I assumed he would be done for sure. I am also the rare breed that liked the first two eps of Pokemon Chronicles with that MC and hoped to see more exciting journeys with him.

Liking Legend of Thunder is uncommon? I thought it was way more interesting than anything we got during Ash’s adventures in Johto.

While Ash has finally upgraded from loser to champion, I’m still not gonna get back into the anime. Give me Pokemon Generations instead! I want something more canon to the games.

We rarely do get to meet both parents of our protags in mainline Pokemon games, so Ash has simply stuck to that fact since he’s basically the anime’s version of Red.
