Fatal Frame is a much loved Japanese horror franchise but it hasn’t had an entry on the Nintendo Switch as of yet. However, in a recent interview Fatal Frame series producer Keisuke Kikuchi has stated that he would love to see a new title on the platform and thinks the console’s uniqueness would make a great fit for the series. Whether anything is being worked on regarding Fatal Frame hasn’t been mentioned.

“Yeah, I do want to make a Fatal Frame on Switch. I think it’d be a ton of fun to play with the console in handheld mode and moving all around.”

  1. I think it’s time. Fatal Frame 5 on Wii U was really good but obviously didn’t do well because the console was selling so poorly and they also only released it physically in Europe with a special edition which is the version I got and that never helps.

  2. A new one plus a re-release of FF5 that isn’t censored would be great. Give us the cosplay & lingerie DLC this time & not make them region exclusive. Don’t pull another Tokyo Mirage Sessions re-release where you release the censored version to every region like morons again. Basically, don’t cheap out this time.

  4. …then do it. Fatal Frame 5 is the one Wii U port I’ve been wanting and a new game would obviously be great. Just, you know… Maybe NoA could actually advertise the game this time instead of making an eshop only game and censoring it for some reason.

  7. Fatal Frame and Silent Hill are my two favorite survival horror franchises of all time and they’ve been in limbo for so long that I would gladly buy a new one on the Switch or the entire series on digital on the eshop. The genre has been sub-par since the two have been on hold, so it would be a welcome return.
