Developer miHoYo has delayed its open-world RPG Genshin Impact as it has just announced it will be bringing the game to the Nintendo Switch. It will now come to PlayStation 4, PC, iOS, and Android as well as the Nintendo Switch. A release date has yet to be announced by the developer. For those not aware of the game, here’s what it’s all about along with the Nintendo Switch teaser trailer.

  1. Despite what people said about this being similar to Breath of the Wild (esp. some who went as far as destroying a ps4 over it’s announcement in china) in terms of game mechanics, I learned that there is more to this game that’s enough to differentiate the two.

There being multiple characters, the fighting/powers each character has, the story, etc…
I’m honestly excited that this game is coming to the switch and if it runs well/isn’t terrible on release
then i’ll most likely buy it!

That and I recently played Honkai Impact 3rd, a game that the company behind genshin previously made. that just came out on PC at the tail-end of last year and I quite enjoyed it so I’m looking forward to this game on switch!

    1. Dat is wayacist. Is like saying menudo is made by a Mexican which is a huge nope for me. Joking aside, China does indeed make good stuff so don’t knock it until you try it.

  3. It actually looks kinda good, based on just what I’ve seen of it so far. I hope it has real-time combat, because “open world” + “turn-based combat” can quickly become a drag to play. It definitely looks interesting, though. Will keep an eye on this.

      1. Yeah, you’re right. I just checked them out. It actually kinda reminds me of the Warriors games. Also some other games that I can’t quite pinpoint. I think it looks interesting. Definitely keeping an eye out for this.

  4. That teaser for Switch in 2020 really sparked my interest — I imagined playing Teyvat on my handheld, exploring monoliths with Paimon, perfect for traveling, without being tied to a PC or phone. But after six years of waiting, a bunch of updates missed, and still nothing, I was burned out by the thought of starting from scratch with grinding. Then I got Genshin Impact Accounts on skycoach — AR 55 with Neuvillette, Furina, and artifacts, and now I’m in the endgame, farming the Abyss without tears. Now I’m waiting for Switch not from scratch, but with ready-made progress for cross-save — the thrill is back!
