Nintendo has finally announced today that Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is now available via the Nintendo Switch eShop. The role-playing title expands The Witcher story and is priced up at $19.99 and requires 4.3GB of storage space on your Nintendo Switch console. Here’s the game’s details direct from Nintendo of America:
Thronebreaker is a single player role-playing game set in the world of The Witcher that combines narrative-driven exploration with unique puzzles and card battle mechanics.
Crafted by the developers responsible for some of the most iconic moments in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the game spins a truly regal tale of Meve, a war-veteran and queen of two Northern Realms — Lyria and Rivia. Facing an imminent Nilfgaardian invasion, Meve is forced to once again enter the warpath and set out on a dark journey of destruction and revenge.
I was interested until I read ” card battle mechanics”. That ruined it all. Well, that and the fact it’s just an eShop game. The card game Gwent was the worst part about The Witcher III. I never could figure that out, and it was too boring to care. Card games in general are boring.
Nintendo is up to something. They too quiet. I think they waiting on rivals to unveil everything first
