Rumor: One of Nintendo’s internal development servers may have been hacked

Update: turns out this is an April fools joke as the Flipnote Studio leak has proved to be fake.

Unfortunately, one of Nintendo‘s internal development servers may have been hacked. It is not known who the hacker is, but they have leaked some files to a private Discord conversation, which then leaked to the public. Among the files are screenshots from what is apparently a new Flipnote Studio for the Nintendo Switch, as well as new songs from the first DLC pack of Pokemon Sword and Shield.

One image of the former highly implies that the reveal was supposed to happen at E3 2020, before it was cancelled, and it has a series of drawings that may suggest what Nintendo is planning to share later this year. The origins of this leak are somewhat vague, and April Fools Day is almost here, so the legitimacy of this is not certain. That all said, this is not related to the recent Mario rumors. We’ll let you know of any further developments, if they happen.

  1. It seem like it would be easy to beef up security since they dont make games but every 8 years though Metroid has been on break for 14 years. Dang that’s a long time not to make a sequel. They probably going to make an excuse for the current working for the coronavirus. But nintendo doesnt do anything before or after coronavirus because if they did where are the sequels?

  2. Of all these rumors of incredible things getting announced, a new Flipnote Studio is not what I expected to be rumored. But, that would make me very happy (these rumors honestly sound way too good for them to all be true though, so I’m taking them with several grains of salt).

Not quite, apparently the people who said they made up the “leaks” did it after some other images popped up of FNStudio

    1. Yeah, i found it hard to believe that this might be some April Fool Joke even so i have nothing against that day. Beside’s, Ryan Hernandez was already in jailed and his sentence will begin in April 2020 after he admitted on hacking in to Nintendo servers for finding more files and initial on what Nintendo is planning for there upcoming future titles since he trick a Nintendo employee long ago.

Also i know Nintendo can’t promise anything because of the coronavirus outbreak. Soon, good will always come for all of us depending how long the outbreak is gonna last.

The Mario remakes are a different rumor, and the Pokémon soundtrack leak is fake if I’m not mistaken. I doubt multiple sources would make a Mario remake rumor and lose their credibility.
