Limited Run Games has stated that Castlevania Anniversary Collection for Nintendo Switch will get a physical release this fall. The news was announced during the Limited Run Games stream which happened yesterday. The Castlevania: Anniversary Collection is also coming this fall to Sony’s PlayStation 4 system.
Konami has killed Castlevania. The fact they haven’t released an actual title since 2014 (and no, dodgy mobile games replete with microtransactions don’t count) speaks volumes about how much they care.
They’ve more or less left the industry entirely. Not that I blame them. The up front investment and risk in developing AAA games is gigantic compared to when they were major players.
Damn it. I’ve already bought the digital version for Switch.
Definitely getting this one. I can’t believe I’ve never played a single Castlevania game. Even though I own several.
