Pikmin 3 Deluxe was announced for Nintendo Switch today with a release date of 30th October. Those of you who are interested in buying it digitally may want to head over to the eShop as it’s already up for pre-load. The eShop page is also listing it with a file size of 6.5gb. The box art for the Switch title has also been revealed which you can see in the image below for both the EU and US.
It’s not a case of ‘spot the difference’ I’m afraid as they’re identical, but you can get an idea of what it’ll look with the relevant classification tag.

Will you be picking this up at launch? Did you play the original on Wii U and wanting to double dip and enjoy the extra content?
according to nintendo soup. they saw on the Japanese teaser web site. you will need seperate joy con controllers to play on switch lite.
That sounds weird. Wasn’t the original version playable on the WIi U Gamepad? The Switch in handheld mode sound like it should be perfectly capable of replacing that without needing a Joy-Con.
I think it was.
For multiplayer
Now all we need left to port from the Wii U is Mario 3D World, Xenoblade X, and HD Zelda.
Game & Wario and Colour Splash, but the latter probably won’t be re-released that soon I guess.
I completely forgot about Color Splash. I guess that shows how much I’m interested in the modern Paper Mario series.
And from the Wii, we need Metroid Prime Trilogy and (New Play Control!) Pikmin 1 & 2
And Star Fox Zero. But not a chance to see this game ported to the Switch.
That would be hard without a second screen.
I though Pikmin 4 was almost ready years ago…
Jeez, just port all the nintendo wii u games already haha.
This, but unironically. Still would love to play Super Mario 3D World, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Yoshi’s Wooly World, Star Fox Zero and Nintendo Land on my Switch. Digging out the big, clunky Wii U to play those games is just such a chore!
I like those announcements out of nowhere.
I’m going to buy it I want to see the new content.
But I still want Pikmin 4.
I though you’d comit suicide after this announcement since you’ve been waiting for pikmin 4 since 2003.
Haha so you been paying attention huh.
Nintendo sure is unpredictable.
I loved Pikmin 3 but I don’t think it’s the sort of game that has much replay value. Having already played it, I don’t know how much fun I would have on my second playthrough so I probably won’t buy this.
