Nintendo has had an internationally registered patent filed for what appears to be a standalone Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controller. This new design doesn’t feature the traditional connectors which allow the current Joy-Cons to clip on to the Switch system, therefore making it a standalone product. As VGC notes this standalone Joy-Con could supplement last year’s Switch Lite system. We shall have to see if anything happens with this particular patent.
Ir maybe it’s a oatent for a nintendo switch joycon thats standalone 😏 but doesn’t drift.
Or* patent*
might just be covering their bases for this one, seems a tough sell as is
maybe this could also point to a switch tv only version.

After the handheld only version and 3DS without 3D, i wouldn’t be surprised if they released a TV only version.
they could honestly partner with Nvidea to make an Xbox one X sort of 4K switch. not next-gen but a step up. I think they will do a switch pro before that. but I wouldn’t be surprised if they also announced a TV only switch.
funny though, this patent shows that it has no sidebar charger, it would be nice to have wireless charging.
It has no charging port period in the docs
i dont see why not. it might only be a little popular but it could offer more power than the current switch at the same time.
