
Games Industry is reporting today that the Nintendo Switch is continuing to sell extremely well in the United Kingdom. During the month of September 2020 it seems that the Kyoto-based company shifted an impressive 146,000 units. The site also reports that Super Mario 3D All-Stars is the second fastest-selling Mario game ever, after Super Mario Odyssey. The site says 32.3% of all physical games sold in September were Nintendo-published titles and 41.7% were for the Switch console.
Nintendo dominated the entire month. 32.3% of all physical games sold in the UK during September were Nintendo-published titles, while 41.7% were for the Nintendo Switch console. And Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console. Overall, 146,000 consoles were sold during September in the UK, according to GfK. That means, so far this year, 1.3 million games machines have been sold in the UK. That’s a rise of 34.2% over the same period in 2019.
