Popular Japanese gaming publication Famitsu has asked 132 Japanese developers and celebrities to vote for their favourite video game of 2020. Twinfinite reports that PlayStation 4 game Ghost of Tsushima was the winner as it was the most voted for game this year. However, the PlayStation exclusive by Sucker Punch Productions was followed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, and Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. The full results will be unveiled in the next edition of Weekly Famitsu magazine which is due to be released in Japan on Thursday. Last year’s winner was Death Stranding and the winner in 2018 was Insomniac Games, Spider-Man.
Totally deserved, unlike that other, political cinematic game.
Really Sakuna is one of the highest voted? I played it for 7 hours but the mechanics aren’t easy to grasp so I considered dropping it. I guess I need to reconsider.
