Earlier today, Nintendo confirmed that the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate update, including the arrival of Pyra and Mythra, would be happening later tonight. Well, Nintendo has just released the DLC and the update. Once you update Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it’ll be at version 11.0.0.
It’s not surprising, but it’s a big update. However, there’s not really anything in the official patch notes that is unusual. There are re-balancing adjustments made to the characters, and the addition of spirits, but those are the update’s main changes. You can see the patch notes in full down below.

- Several issues have been fixed to improve gameplay experience.
I’m really feeling it.
It wasn’t until playing Pyra/Mythra that I realized how fitting it was for a Xenoblade 2 fighter to be based on switching Blades mid-battle.
It’s what I really disliked about XC2 but I can appreciate the decision to emulate that.
Better than Steve. I didn’t even buy him.
They actually nerfed the top tiers and re-buffed Pichu
Can we talk about how the color changes actually show up immediately now instead of waiting 30 seconds?
So far that’s only for Pyra/Mythra, or at least it is on my Switch- literally everyone else takes about 10-15 seconds, even the fighters in the base game/ on the game card.
Super fun character! Definitely maining them.
They’re fun, but I have a hunch that Pyra’s going to get reigned in a little in the coming weeks.
Theyre everything I’d hoped they’d be. New main for certain.
I played with my mates last night and my first impressions are:
– Super fun to play!
– Pyra’s range is broken and the throwing sword is spammable as hell, got bored at playing versus her really quick because of that
– Mythra is definitely my type of character — lightweight and fast
– I love the jiggle physics
Jiggle physics, you say? Curse my broke ass! *sigh* Next month then. Lol
