Quantic Dream talks about bringing Sea of Solitude: The Director’s Cut to Switch

Quantic Dream is bringing Sea of Solitude: The Director’s Cut to the Nintendo Switch and have talked about what they are planning to bring to the table and also about their experience being certified Nintendo Switch developers. They were tasked to bring Sea of Solitude: The Director’s Cut to the platform and are incredibly proud to have worked on their first Nintendo project. Guillaume de Fondaumière head of publishing at Quantic Dream was asked whether they are planning to bring any of their other games to the Switch such as the previous PlayStation exclusives Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human via the cloud, but it seems as though they will remain exclusive to PC and PlayStation. Though he did say that they will support the platform going forward, “Switch is one of the best-selling consoles in recent years and naturally we’ll support it, starting with Sea of Solitude: The Director’s Cut, which is a Switch exclusive.”

“We are really excited to release our first-ever title on a Nintendo platform! As gamers ourselves, many of us have enjoyed playing on Nintendo consoles throughout the decades and when we finally got the opportunity to work on Switch, we embraced it immediately. Nintendo and Quantic Dream had been in talks in the past. Thereby, we were able to reconnect and start working together quickly. The process has been very smooth, not only in receiving kits to enable Jo-Mei to start working on Switch, but also for Quantic Dream to become a certified Nintendo publisher.”
