If you aren’t familiar with Star Wars Day, it is something that Star Wars fans celebrate every May 4th. That day had been chosen for the event due to a pun. “May the 4th” sounds similar to the Star Wars phrase “may the Force be with you”, which is said to wish someone good luck on their mission before parting ways.
To celebrate the occasion, Star Wars games have been discounted on the Nintendo Switch eShop as part of a Star Wars Day 2021 sale. Star Wars Episode I Racer, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Star Wars Pinball are all around 50% off until May 7th.
Star Wars game sale has been one of the constants since digital distribution got a strong foothold imo. Fun to see the sale appear on a Nintendo platform. This is the first time, yes?
Got most of the Star Wars games on my Steam wishlist the other day. Just the pre-Disney trilogy ones, though. (Fuck that noise.)

No. Mainly because I’m not into Dark Souls type games. Unless it has an easy mode. In which case, if it has zero ties to the Disney trilogy, I might consider it. Provided it also doesn’t end on a cliffhanger that could potentially have a sequel tie in to that trilogy. It’s why I won’t watch The Mandalorian, either, since it’s an ongoing series & could also tie in to that trilogy one day.

Its far from a souls game, its more of a tomb raider/uncharted cross with God of War/Zelda. Its Its actually really good. I didnt really pay attention to the story, because well in not a star wars fan, at least not a die hard, but it was very intereting. It actually has a sequel already in development, so theres that, but seeing that its a disney priperty, itll most likely tie in to the trilogy in one way or another.
The game itself is great, its one of the few non Nintendo last gens games that I loved personally.
Well if Disney ever gets it’s act together one day & retcons some of the bullshit, I can always pick these games & shows up down the road. For now, I’ll save my time & money.
@Infinite Ridley You would enjoy Mandolorian, it’s sort of an F U to the sequel trilogy, because it’s eventually going to retcon it and respect the original trilogy.
I’m gonna wait til it actually happens. I don’t trust the Disney or Lucasfilm of today to not fuck it up. Plus, I still have PTSD because of Game of Thrones’s final season. 🥺😭😵
