After 19 long years, the 2D Metroid series is finally making a grand return, and GameStop is prepared to celebrate. While supplies last, an exclusive pin set of Samus and E.M.M.I. will be included with pre-orders of Metroid Dread. This offer is available for both in-store and online orders of the game, excluding the digital version. Those who were lucky enough to place an order for the Special Edition also qualify to receive the pins. Metroid Dread launches exclusively for Switch on 8th October.
A wild scalper has appeared !
I wonder but I never see, what is the creature that chases Samus yet to be?
How y’all feel about the suit. I’m not immediately in love with color scheme but maybe as I play I’ll appreciate it more. Idk just feels like too soft a palette for the intergalactic bounty hunter.
There’s probably a story reason for its appearance. I don’t remember where I heard/read it, but the suit looks the way it does because it has begun to “heal” after Samus’s infection from the X Parasites in Fusion.
That kind of sucks, actually. I love the Fusion Suit & how it’s actually slimmer on Samus. (And the Batman protrusions on the arm!) But like Dskis said, hopefully it heals into something more badass than it’s original form. Sadly, I can see the worse case scenario & it just goes back to the original design prior to Fusion. Why do I see this being a possibility? New Hyrule. The return of Andross in Star Fox Adventures. Ash still being the main character of the Pokemon cartoon. Instead of Pikachu getting a cool new form similar to Mega Evolution, it’s given to bloody Greninja instead. (Talk about giving the finger to Ash’s best & oldest companion.) Raichu got an alternate form in Alola & not Pikachu. I’m sure there are others that I can’t recall right now, but you get the point.
Well I hope it keeps healing into a more badass suit.
