  1. The Nintendo Wii has at last been dethroned as the best selling Nintendo Console.
Now let’s see if it can dethrone the Nintendo DS as the best selling Nintendo Handheld.

  2. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Why it sold well; I guess people just like Mario Kart.
Animal Crossing New Horizons: Why it sold well; I guess people are just casual.
Super Smash Bros.: Ultimate: Why it sold well; Well obviously people are gonna want Smash bros, especially if it has every fighter in smash history, the most important 3rd party companies, and the Captain N trio. Why it didn’t sell well; That’s what Sakurai gets for making bad decisions, like not having Waluigi be playable.
The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild: Why it sold well; It’s a good game. Why it didn’t sell well; maybe people thought Link wasn’t going to have his traditional green tunic and cap. Or maybe people just want Smash bros more.
Pokemon Sword & Shield: Why it sold well; People give these games a bad rep, but I think they have merit.
Super Mario Odyssey: Why it sold well; Well obviously people are going to want the latest mainline Mario title.
Super Mario Party: Why it sold well; People just like Mario party.
Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee: Why it sold well; Maybe people are blinded by nostalgia. Or maybe Misty having a Vaporeon alone was enough reason to buy it.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl: Why it didn’t sell well; Maybe people are just tired of barebones remakes. At least the gen 3 remakes introduced new megas.
Ring Fit Adventure: Why it sold well; I guess people are just casual.

    1. Why are you equating 20+ million or even 10+ million as “not selling well” and then adding your own made up reasons as to “why it didn’t sell well” (even though selling that much is selling extremely and overwhelmingly well)?

  3. “Ring fit is casual” haha holy cow. This is the hardest game I’ve ever played. I’m in world 12 working my way through it, one squat at a time. This game will kick your ass from the jump. Really hoping they’re working on a more refined sequel, as the first one is great but has a few issues that can be fixed.

  4. Holy f— how did Pokemon BDSP sell 13M+ in just over two months?

No other game achieved this much in such a short time:

  5. Not surprised, oftentimes i’ll purchase games twice. Once as digital and then a physical copy. Depends on the game, like originally i couldn’t find Pokemon Legend Arceus at local retailers so i purchased it as digital until i found a physical copy.
