The Mother franchise, also known as EarthBound in western regions, has been seeing a lot of attention lately. This is due, in large part, to EarthBound and EarthBound Beginnings coming to Nintendo Switch Online. However, many fans were hoping that Mother 3 was finally going to see a western release.
Well, it seems that it’s not just fans that are wanting this. You see, producer Shinichi Kameoka was recently interviewed by Nintendo Everything. In the interview, Kameoka said that he would “also love to see Mother 3 released in the US and Europe. As a lover of games, I will continue to wait for Mother 3’s release worldwide release (in English)”.
Emily Rogers has got some good news for him then
He’s been wanting it for years and Iwata would just laugh.
Maybe he should Google “Tomato”.
I think he means official release. Tomato and company did a phenomenal job with the fan translation but it’s not a licensed version. I’ve played the fan translation from start to finish at least 4 times but I would 100% buy an official English version to support the series.
They might be referencing that the fan translation team has offered all their work to Nintendo for an official translation.
I mean… that still doesn’t mean the game would get ported though.
Join the club as the fanbase wants this, too. lol
