The first wave of new courses are live in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as part of the paid Booster Course Pass available now. Dataminers have been on the case since the 2.0.0 update went live yesterday afternoon and have discovered some of the other courses which will come in later waves within the game files. These tracks have not been confirmed by Nintendo, but it seems likely that they will be coming. The tracks include quite a few from Nintendo’s free to play mobile game Mario Kart Tour, which is available on iOS and Android devices. Here are some of the tracks which have been discovered within the code so far.
- Sydney Sprint (Tour)
- New York Minute (Tour)
- Singapore Speedway (Tour)
- Sydney Sprint (Tour)
- Mario Circuit (SNES)
- Sunset Wilds (SNES)
- DK Summit (Wii) -Maple Treeway (Wii)
- Waluigi Stadium (GCN)
- Rainbow Road (3DS)
- Merry Mountain (Tour)
- Vancouver Velocity (Tour)
- Sunset Wilds (GBA)
- Vanilla Lake (SNES)
I’m glad about the tour courses coz I ain’t tried these, but also I really do hope the dk summit and maple tree way are true as I love both of those. Gona give wave 1 a blast shortly
Maple Treeway is awesome, sad there’s no sign of Rainbow Road Wii yet though.
I know right? its one of my favorites in Mario Kart Wii. c:
Some of those tracks that GameXplain/Andre did cover this and as they mention that could be possible as a retro tracks for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe but only time will tell. The only things I’m hoping to see as a retro track is Figure 8 Circuit from Mario Kart DS, Mushroom City from Mario Kart Double Dash and finally Luigi Circuit GBA from Mario Kart Super Circuit.
I can’t believe we’re getting Singapore speedway its one of my most wanted tour tracked, along with the others listed.
SNES tracks yes please. The haunted mansion tracks were pretty good. But there is a shortcut that requires a feather, so might not work in 8.
If it’s Ghost Valley 2, then they basically just added a ramp for that jump in Mario Kart Wii.
Rainbow Road 3DS was my most wanted course, so I’m happy. Hoping we’ll get Waluigi Pinball further down the line.
maple fuckin freeway let’s GOOOOO
As a dataminer myself; I would just like to say that just because we see these in a datamine doesn’t 100% confirm them for the game. While yes, it does make their chances stronger, it does not mean this is what we are getting. Game companies in the past have placed these to throw off dataminers and given how long Nintendo has been in the DLC now, it’s not impossible to assume they may also have caught on.
In addition; It’s entirely possible these are just being put there pre-emptively because they may or may not be being considered and should they decide to use that, then a part of the work is already done.
If you want an example of this; I’d like to point out that Super Mario Maker 1 had files for the Angry Sun and everyone was sure it was gonna be DLC but surprise; It wasn’t and didn’t get added until the sequel.
I get that but most times Nintendo datamine things do come to life either now or later in the future, plus most of these tracks that were datamine we’re also found in tours files too that just adds belief to it but I do agree with you it’s best to keep your expectations low.
I know we should take this with a grain of salt, cuz they may or may not be the decided courses, but still yes. Glad to know that all of Tour’s city tracks seem to be making their way to Deluxe. Especially happy about Sunset Wilds, I dunno if it’s just me but I really like the aesthetic that Super Circuit (GBA) courses had. Really hoping they stay true to the original and keep the time at sunset. It was a shame that they made Cheese Land a daytime track, cuz the original was a night version and the vibe from it was just perfect.
If Waluigi Stadium is returning, I hope they keep the track sounds. I can’t play Waluigi Stadium without hearing the “click click click click” from driving over the fence ground the entire time lol.
HELL YES to Maple Treeway! As long as it’s the Wii version as far as graphical detail goes.
Also Sickr, Sunset Wilds comes from the GBA Mario Kart: Super Circuit, not the SNES Super Mario Kart; for accuracy! :)
Man, what’s up with the lack of Gamecube tracks. No Love!
You might want to fix t the list Sickr. You put both of them at the same time.
Interesting enough
