Atlus launched the anticipated Persona 4 Arena Ultimax across all platforms yesterday and the majority of players seem to be having fun with the game, judging from the recent Steam reviews. The game is available right now on the Nintendo Switch eShop for the budget price of £24.99. If you own any of the other systems the game recently launched on then it is well worth noting that the PlayStation 4 and Steam versions will benefit from rollback net code this summer. Check out the launch trailer for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax from Atlus below.
The stakes are Ultimate, the tension is Maximum, the fight is… the ULTIMAX! Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is now available on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch! Rollback Netcode coming Summer 2022 to PlayStation 4 and Steam.
It’s cool that new fans finally have the opportunity to play this game but it really sucks that, from the sounds of it, there’s currently no Persona 5 Arena or similar sequel currently in development.
Well, maybe the sequel for P5 was set to be the P5 Strikers/Scramble game, even if it follows vanilla P5 and not Royal. Although I do want a continuation of the new things we saw from Royal- we didn’t get nearly enough time with newcomer Kasumi, and Pancake Boi’s story is not over.
I moreso meant a sequel to Persona 4 Arena itself, though obviously revolving around the Persona 5 cast this time. A big crossover fighting game between the P3, P4 and P5 casts with the same level of story and worldbuilding P4A’s story mode had.
As much as I do love Persona 5 Strikers, it didn’t really do anything in the worldbuilding department. It’s story was basically just a rehashing of vanilla P5.
Im happy i get the opportunity to play
