Splatoon 3 will launch on Friday 9th September for Nintendo Switch. Across Splatsville and the sun-scorched Splatlands, players can engage in ink-soaked battles with other Inklings and Octolings, and discover features, weapons and the trendiest gear of the season.
In Splatoon 3, Turf War mode can create some heated online* 4-v-4 battles across a mix of new and familiar stages, where teams of four face off to cover the most ground in their ink. Newly uncovered footage provides insight on one of those new stages, Eeltail Alley, along with a look at the stringer – a new bow-shaped weapon type that enables players to sling ink sideways and vertically. The new trailer, Splatoon 3 – Extended Turf War gameplay (Nintendo Switch), shows all of this, plus a glimpse into some new gear and information.
In addition to frantic 4-v-4 multiplayer matches, Splatoon 3 also features a fresh single-player campaign and the next iteration of the co-op Salmon Run mode. In the single-player story mode, players will join Agent 3 in a fight against the unruly Octarians and discover the secrets of Alterna and the Fuzzy Ooze.
When diving into Salmon Run, players can ink up with others to fend off waves of dangerous Salmonid bosses, some of which are colossal in size!

Dang that’s almost close to my birthday sep 14 can’t believe it launches on my sis birthday.
Also forgot to mention this but theirs kinda been a pattern with Nintendo randomly giving gameplay and release date with fire emblem, Xenoblade and now Splatoon 3 I wouldn’t be surprised if strikers gets a gameplay/trailer next week
The background music for Splatoon 3 is really rocking. Not planning on getting the game but my friend is excited for a new game and the story mode for Nintendo Switch. I wonder what the story would be like in the new game.
I knew they had something big planned once they moved xeno release date. I hope they release xeno in a polished form though and it’s not being rushed because of splatoon.
That said this year is packed with games! I hope splatoon brings lots of new stuff to the table
Maybe this explains why they change the release date for Xenoblade chronicles 3 to July because Splatoon 3 is taking over the September release date this year.
So let’s see if Splatoon 2 came out in 2017 and this one is coming in 2022, they actually immediately started work on this. Bout time Nintendo starts work immediately.
Too bad DK, Starfox Metroid, F Zero, Toad’s Treasure Tracker, or Pikmin didn’t get the “worked on immediately ” treatment. But Impressed that Nintendo worked.on a franchise right away other than Mario or Zelda.

Really hoping Xenoblade isn’t being rushed for this. I enjoy Splatoon, but it’s not something that gets me excited.
