Venture Beat journalist Jeff Grubb has appeared on the Nintendo Shack channel to chat about some of what will be shown during the rumoured September Nintendo Direct presentation. He previously mentioned that The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess enhanced Wii U ports for the Switch will be shown at the event. He also said that the title for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will be revealed.

Jeff also went on to say that the rumoured Metroid Prime remaster will likely be present at the event and it is scheduled to be released this holiday season along with the aforementioned The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess enhanced Wii U ports. He also corroborated the leak from The Snitch earlier today and said that It Takes Two will be coming to the Nintendo Switch family of systems from EA and Hazelight. Jeff previously mentioned that the September Direct will happen on the week beginning 12th September.

  1. I’ll believe it when I see it. The Switch has a few rumors that never seem to die. This one and the Switch Pro I stopped believing over a year ago. The rumors of both continue to persist and to no avail. For a long while I was a firm believer in these rumors too. But you can only cry wolf so many times before I start questioning the likelihood of it coming true. Not saying it won’t happen. A Metriod Prime Trilogy makes sense with the fourth installment coming to the platform. But at this point only the actual confirmation by Nintendo will make me a believer.

  2. Jeff Grubb is nothing more than one of those people who say the world will end, and then when it doesn’t claims he misinterpreted the signs.
Of course one day there will be a remaster, but that doesn’t mean he had any credibility for claiming it was coming every few months

      1. I think they’re saying they were disappointed by the quality of the SS remaster. And therefore expects that any other remasters in the future are likely to also be disappointing.

I mean it was literally marketed as a HD version of Zelda Skyward Sword. What did they expect? A Full Remake?

    1. At least the game is 100% complete unlike two certain shooters that are full price for barely 25% of the game and buying up the rest of it plus the game looking like hot garbage while it being a literal copy and paste of the previous ones and riddled with bugs that take years to fix barely fix at all. But what do I know? I’m probably a shill.

  3. What does ‘remaster’ mean for this game? Fresh coat of paint or a complete overhaul. Is this game trying to be a major holiday release? I’d buy simple port but am a little excited for a potential complete overhaul.

    1. Remaster – Same Game but with a graphic overhaul like what Crash N Sane Trilogy did
Remake – Complete Overhaul made from scratch, like Final Fantasy 7 Remake

  4. Three Zelda games at once? I doubt they would do that. Even if porting to the Switch were easy, it would be better if they focused on each remaster at a time to keep the hype up for a longer time. It doesn’t make any sense to me (but who am I?).

  5. I believe in jeff grubb words. There will be metroud prime remastered for nintendo switch. No dout. As for MP 2 echoes and MP 3 Corruption. Is pieced out two years. Mp 2 2023 and mp 3 2024. As for mp 4 is unknown.

I do believe they will remaster zelda twilight princess for nintendo digital buy only. Wind waker wont happen. Wasnt popular as twilight princess. Bad graphics bad everything. 1 of the worst storyline ever for zelda. Skyward, botw, and botw 2 sucks. Worst ideas for the games itself is weapons and shields breaking. Ruins zelda in its name just bc of those ideas of weapons and sgields breaking. Its facts ruins zelda reputation.

  6. I liked ww and twp but I REALLY like mp1 and I’m anxious for the remaster. There has to be some truth to it. I am still hopeful for Christmas release
