Sensor Tower: Mario Kart Tour has generated an estimated $293 million

The team at mobile data tracking firm Sensor Tower has informed Games Industry that Nintendo’s popular mobile game Mario Kart Tour available for both iOS and Android has generated around $293 million since the game launched in September 2019. Nintendo recently informed fans that it would be removing the controversial gatcha elements from the game later this month, which is a more than welcome change. Nintendo will announce how in-game purchases will work in the game at a later date.

    1. if mk8 made $5 a pop maybe, the game at leasts profitted $20 and thats $1 billion.
Even if the game only profiited $10 each thats still $500K.
      MK8 sold +50M now

  1. That’s enough money to make a new Donkey Kong, Starfox, Pikmin, Astral Chain, Luigi’s Mansion and a New F Zero and to work on Metroid Prime 5 immediately. Its also enough to transfer the 3DS and Wii U’s eshope to the Switch and making it combined as one whole. But Nintendo is too stupid to do that and rather make one game every 15 years.
