Tales Of Symphonia remaster will be 30fps

If you watched the Nintendo Direct that happened earlier this week, you may recall that a remaster of Tales Of Symphonia was announced. The remaster is slated to release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One early next year.

However, there is a catch to this version of the game. Bandai Namco confirmed that the game will run at 30 frames-per-second on all platforms. This is actually a downgrade, as the original Tales of Symphonia that released on the Gamecube roughly 20 years ago was in 60fps. Nevertheless, Bandai Namco is promising “graphically enhanced and improved gameplay”.

    1. The Steam version is also locked to 30fps for some reason, i guess they are just porting that version with minimal changes (if any at all).

    2. this isnt a port of the gamecube version but of the japan exclusive PS2 version that ran at 30fps, after that version every single port (PS3, Steam l and this remastered) seems to be based on the PS2 version.

  1. As someone who has never played the original, to my deepest regret, this does not bother me at all; I am still going to get it, because I missed out on this game when it came to the GameCube and didn’t have enough money when it was released to other systems.

I refuse to let this opportunity pass me by, unless they announced Tales of Arise for the switch next year

  2. I am presently creating an additional $33,000 or many months from home doing terribly honest and straightforward activities on-line from home.
