Nintendo is still considering new mobile applications and games

Nintendo hasn’t announced or launched any new smartphone games or applications for iOS and Android following the disappointing launch of Pikmin Bloom in October 2021, leading some to speculate that Nintendo is done with mobile gaming. Nintendo says that this isn’t the case when they were asked by news website, Axios, and says that they are continuing to update their mobile games and are also “considering new applications for the future.”

“While we feel the importance of generating revenue and profit through our mobile business, our basic strategy with the business is to expand the number of people who have access to Nintendo [intellectual property] ”We are focusing on delivering great experiences for our current mobile games through continued updates and improvements while also considering new applications for the future.”

  1. I Just hope Nexomon 3 releases on consoles, was surprised when Nexomon Extinction got the free update for the Abyssals expansion that added additional Nexomon, I’ve seen alittle about Nexomon 3, hopefully it’s not Just a mobile game and either gets ported for consoles at some point or releases on console at the official release. Nexomon is one of the best monster catching games I’ve played, with gameplay mechanics almost identical to Pokemon. Nexomon gives Pokemon some real competition and the dialogue is on par with some of the best I’ve seen.

  2. As long as they don’t prioritize the mobile game over an actual console installment equivalent, like how Tour gets more love than 8 Deluxe which is still selling like crazy. I’m happy and grateful that Deluxe is getting double the amount of tracks it launched with, but a handful of new characters added to a nearly-nine-year-old game (I’m counting its initial release on Wii U in 2014) would be wonderful too.
