It has already been a busy 2023 for the gaming division of Warner Bros., due in large part to the release of Hogwarts Legacy and the upcoming releases of Mortal Kombat 12 and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Meanwhile, Hogwarts Legacy will be coming to the Switch in July. That said, the company shared some sales data about the game in their first quarter financial results press release.
The press release also coincided with an earnings call from Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, where he said earlier today that “Hogwarts Legacy has amassed more than $1 billion in retail sales and over 15 million units sold worldwide to date”. This means that Hogwarts Legacy is now the 5th Warner Bros. video game franchise to surpass that milestone. If you’re curious, the other franchises are LEGO, DC, Mortal Kombat and Game of Thrones.
Highly recommend Hogwarts Legacy, my only compliment is that you can only sell certain loot like cosmetic items anything else can’t be sold making earning money a real hassle. Even farming Mythical Beast seems kinda pointless, no matter the rarity they all fetch the same price. You can upgrade the inventory size by completing Merlin trials, once you figure out a few the rest are fairly easy.
Wow, if that’s your only “compliment” then I’m not gonna try this game!
Kidding guys, kidding. Maybe if I didn’t play so much Splatoon.
If the Switch version is good, I’m going for it.
So it’s sold 14 million units. That is not an accomplishment for a AAA game anymore, especially one on all platforms.
Regardless, I will not and do not care to play this game at all.
Yet you cared enough to read the article and comment. Lmao. Stay mad. It’s hilarious.
lmao you’re completely delusional
