Tales of Symphonia Remastered sadly didn’t launch in the best state for the Nintendo Switch family of systems in February and Bandai Namco has since acknowledged that. The team has been working hard on resolving some of the issues which Nintendo Switch owners have had to deal with. Today, the company has announced that a new update for the Nintendo Switch version will go live on Thursday and provided the following patch notes on their website.
- Fixed an issue that was causing significant processing slowdowns while moving through the sandstorm area of “Triet”.
- Fixed an issue where the game would freeze at the end of certain boss battles.
- Fixed an event where the screen would black out and become inoperable while navigating certain world maps and towns.
- Fixed an event where the background music would be interrupted when moving to the world map after a battle.
- Other minor bugs have been fixed.

Damn, I was beginning to think they weren’t going to patch it. Glad they finally are, but why did it take so long?
They probably want to iron out any potential new bugs plus wants the patch to be ready once they fixed most of the problems aka a patch that takes no time is bound to have more issues than fixing.
Glad that Bandi has acknowledged the flaws and making an attempt at fixing them. I’ve only experienced one crash during my time with the game.
