Dream Con is almost here. If you don’t know what it is, Dream Convention, or Dream Con for short, is an anime and gaming convention that was created and is currently produced by RDCWorld. It will be taking place at Austin, Texas July 28th through 30th, which is a month from now.
One of the festivities at Dream Con 2023 will be a Championship Series that will feature tournaments of various games. Most of them are fighting games, such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but the list of games also include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. That said, Dream Con’s staff have announced that Nintendo of America is sponsoring the convention, and Nintendo employees will be attending. Dream Con’s announcement tweet about the matter is down below.
I was not expecting them to sponsor the con though it makes sense since games like Smash is basically anime and it’s also what they are doing for tournament among other things. I wish I could go but can’t cuz of work.
