The latest UK boxed- video game software charts have come through and Pikmin 4 has shot straight to the No.1 spot this week. New data shows that Pikmin 4 sold 45% more than Pikmin 3: Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch back in October 2020, though that game was an enhanced Wii U port. The critically acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom continues to perform well though it has dropped down to No. 4 this week and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has fallen one place to No. 5. Here’s the GfK Boxed Top Ten for this week ending July 22, 2023:

  1. I’m glad that Pikmin 4 is getting the sales that I wish other Pikmin games had gotten, maybe we’ll get future content for this game or get a Deluxe version on the next system

    1. I wish Pikmin 4 well, but this doesn’t say anything about sales numbers. It’s just an arbitrary number placing. FIFA 23 is at number 2, a game released last year. There’s no major releases this week. We’ve seen MK8D this year top the chart, a decade old Wii U port. Why don’t the officials in charge of the UK charts give us numbers, like they do in Japan? It would remove opportunities like this to put spin on things.

  2. It’s a great game been playing it with my daughter and she loves it. Only thing I would have liked more is the CO op mode was better. Shooting pebbles such a wasted opportunity. Other player should have been able to play the puppy

  3. This means if Nintendo works on Pikmin 5 immediately like Tears of the Kingdom, it can come out by 2028.
