The latest Famitsu boxed-video software and hardware charts have come through for the week of 24th July, 2023 to 30th July, 2023. Pikmin 4 remains the best-selling game this week shifting an additional 115,550 physical copies, showing the strength of the franchise in the land of the rising sun. On the hardware side of things it is once again the Nintendo Switch family of systems on top this week selling an additional 78,326 units, though Sony’s PlayStation 5 wasn’t too far behind.

Almost done with Pikmin 4, so glad it’s been having so much success. My guess it will end up with 4-5 million sales especially with these half a million are only physical sales

Hear that Nintendo? So it’s no gamble to immediately get started on Pikmin 5 right away. If yall can make Zelda right away then Pikmin 5 can be done right away. Don’t no one want a Pikmin game every 10 years.
There was over 6 years between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. That’s not “right away”. It’s not even all that much less than the 10 years between Pikmin 3 and Pikmin 4. And of course, Zelda is going to be a 20+ million seller and Pikmin is not.
I’m extremely glad to see the game doing well though, and I think Pikmin 4 is excellent.
