Pyoro, who is generally bang on the money when it comes to leaks, has teased this afternoon that the beloved F-Zero series will be just one of many games shown during the rumoured September 2023 Nintendo Direct presentation. Pyoro sent out a teaser this morning stating on the social media platform X, “Let’s just say fans of a certain MATLAB function will be happy with the upcoming Direct.” A fan then replied by saying it will most likely be F-Zero Advance for the GameBoy Advance app, which is available for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members. Pyoro then replied with “No.” As always, this is a rumor, and Nintendo has not announced a September Direct, as of yet.
And why a “MATLAB function” would be related to F-Zero, just out of curiosity?
Because “fzero” also is a function used in MATLAB x = fzero(fun,x0) tries to find a point x where fun(x) = 0. This solution is where fun(x) changes sign—fzero cannot find a root of a function such as x^2.
Maybe its Fzero gx remaster thats why Nagoshi talked about it recently because he was consulted or worked on this remaster.

I would only suspect that if it was along side another big game because Fzero is moreso niche and wouldn’t sell as much (I could be wrong like pikmin 4 selling well
If there was ever a time for Nintendo to give F-Zero another shot, this is it. Almost every one of their franchises that they’ve released new installments of on the platform has gone on to become that series’ bestseller, like Metroid Dread for the Metroid series or FE: Three Houses for Fire Emblem. Even if F-Zero typically has low sales (and as an avid fan of the series, I hate to admit that fact), an F-Zero on Switch would likely attain that same achievement.

So I’m guessing it’s not a new game. Just a remaster version from another F-Zero game. It’s going to be a little hard to bring in new controls for a new game.
I hope this time is f zero real quick because i more like wipeout omega for highesr speed and better ost. F zero game wipeoutkiller must be too ambicious :)
