The iconic Pokémon journey of Ash Ketchum and Pikachu is drawing to a close as the series celebrates its 25th anniversary in North America. Sarah Natochenny, who has voiced Ash for 17 years, shared an emotional clip with fans as she recorded her “last scene of Pokémon: To Be a Pokémon Master” in the studio. Overwhelmed by the moment’s significance in her career, she expressed uncertainty about watching it herself. Natochenny also conveyed her gratitude to Pokémon fans for their unwavering support and recommended watching the special episodes of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys on Netflix.
The departure of Ash’s current voice isn’t the only farewell. Veronica Taylor, the original English voice of Ash, took to social media to express her feelings about the character and extend her thanks to trainers worldwide for their support. Taylor reflected on her time as the 10-year-old trainer and celebrated the incredible Pokémon community that Ash Ketchum has brought together.
