I thought Sunbreak was an “expansion” so how can it be awarded best game. Monster Hunter Rise is the base game, a stand alone title and Sunbreak is an expansion that adds additional content. Technically Sunbreak isn’t a game It’s an expansion, so how can it be awarded best game.
My thoughts as well. I haven’t played it though but maybe it’s jam packed with so much content you can call it a standalone game lol
As a lover of almost only Japanese games, Monster Hunter series is the worst gaming series a japanese company produced.
That’s your opinion, for me it is the best thing to ever come out of Japan game wise.
It is, has more content than base game.
They’re the award givers, they make the rules. They could give it to a movie if they felt like it.
If they think Sunbreak was better than any of those other games then sure, why not? My biggest contention is how Pokémon Scarlet and Violet ends up on a list called “Awards for Excellence”. That’s far more egregious in my opinion.
It’s essentially another game. This has always been the trend in Japan we refer to it as DLC / Expansion, this is not the case. It has as much content plus more than base game.
They gave Pokemon Scarlet and Violet an award in “Excellence.” That’s all you need to know about their poor judgement tbh
What even is that image for the article? Cause that’s not any Monster Hunter I’ve played.
It’s from Monster Hunter Iceborne, I believe
it 100% is in Sunbreak I can confirm I have hunted it multiple times. It’s called the Velkhana
Read this elsewhere earlier and had to laugh. These awards are a complete JOKE. Sunbreak released around summer last year. Never mind that it’s DLC to the base game Monster Hunter: Rise which is even older.
Want further proof? They gave Pokémon Scarlet and Violet an award for EXCELLENCE. 🤣🤣🤣
Pokemon won an Award for Excellence in being a shitty, buggy mess of a game!? Perfect award for it! … Wait. Excellence as in good? …oh……..
There is a twist to this game that attracts users to play it constantly, just like sod boost
This game has a unique twist that keeps players coming back for more, much like the appeal of a professional and reliable WoW boost service, which helps players achieve their goals efficiently.
