Day-one updates are not unusual for Nintendo. Whenever Nintendo releases a new game, there is typically an update around that time. However, Pikmin 1 and 2 have been digitally available on the Nintendo Switch for a few months now. The physical versions are just a couple of days away though, so there’s still a launch-related update in store for Pikmin fans.
Both games, for the most part, received the same update. They both now sit at version 1.1.0. As for the patch notes, they are similar to each other with one exception. According to Nintendo, “Dutch, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese have been added as supported languages” and “several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience” for both games. The one exception is with Pikmin 2, where Nintendo says that they also “fixed an issue in Challenge Mode where the game would crash when the player opened the radar screen when there is exactly ten seconds left.
