Gameshark says it is relaunching September 2024 to coincide with Switch 2 launch (update)

Update:

Ai Shark (formerly known as GameShark) may have just announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be releasing in September 2024. The company mentioned that they are relaunching due to “The official launch is planned to coincide with the Nintendo Switch 2 in September 2024.” Nintendo has yet to announce its successor to the Nintendo Switch, let alone announce a release date. If the console is planned to launch then as Ai Shark states, then a full reveal shouldn’t be too far off.

“Altec Lansing, the leading global audio electronics company, today announces its role as the first licensee of Ai Shark’s cutting-edge gaming software. Formerly known as GameShark, Ai Shark is set to redefine the gaming landscape with its revolutionary AI-enhanced technology. The innovative gaming software is set to mark a significant leap forward in the gaming experience, bringing enhanced gameplay for beginner-level users. The official launch is planned to coincide with the Nintendo Switch 2 in September 2024.”

  1. This seems like a deliberate marketing ploy to me. I’d be very surprised if Nintendo have shared the Switch 2’s release date with Gameshark – nor do I think they’d be connected enough in the modern industry to know when it is. They just knew that if they “accidentally leaked” the release date of the new console they’d get some attention. And I’ll still believe this even if the date turns out to be right, as if you were to ask me to predict a month for the Switch 2’s launch, I would also say September 2024, as would many people. It’s just a logical guess.

    1. I would actually say March 2025. I have no idea why people think it would be in September. Nintendo will not release alongside other big console News nd released in prior years around March due to their fiscal year end.

      1. Another thing to consider is that September marks six months through their fiscal year. Honestly the switch is outdated and should have had a successor announced years ago. These 8 year console generations is kinda silly once you think about how quickly things are advancing. For example, my cell phone can easily outperform the switch in raw power and it shows. I guess there’s a massive price difference but it shouldn’t be this much of a power gap imo

Tell that to Sony with PS4 and Microsoft with Xbox One which both are about a decade old.

  2. So either someone made a huge “oops”, is being the ultimate troll or took a note from Katt Williams and is using the names of others to create a dialogue. In any event, I’d like to see how this plays out

  3. GameShark back then was really enjoyable for the GameCube, and I didn’t know cheat codes could make a game that much more fun. I’d like to see them go at it again, and it seems they are confident about their revival which is interesting.
